A unique opportunity exists for an Environmental Health Technical Officer seeking a new challenge. We are looking for an Environmental Health Technical Officer who has a desire for personal growth, continual challenge and who will embrace a holistic approach to improving outcomes for the residents, visitors and businesses of Colchester.

Duties of the role

The Council recognises the key role Environmental Health has in protecting, sustaining and improving people’s quality of life. As an essential member of the Environmental Protection Team, you will provide technical support to the team, including air quality and water sampling, contaminated land enquiries and the installation, servicing & repair of noise equipment. You will also be expected to offer support to the Food & Safety Team providing advice and dealing with all issues relating to food sampling and poisoning, shellfish, tattoo and animal licensing.
