We are looking for creative, knowledgeable, and inspiring Hourly Paid Lecturers to join our Fashion & Textiles and Design teams. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, engaging teaching that supports learners in developing strong technical skills, creative confidence and clear personal direction within their projects. You will play a key part in shaping the student experience and contributing to the success of our growing programmes.

Job Title:

Hourly Paid Lecturer in Fashion & Textiles

12-15 hours a week, Term Time Only

We welcome applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Printed Textiles
  • Fashion Construction
  • Digital Editing & Manipulation
  • Fashion Illustration

We are ideally seeking candidates available to teach full days on Wednesdays and Thursdays
, though applicants who can commit to only one of these days will also be considered.

What You’ll Do
  • Plan and deliver structured, challenging and inspiring teaching sessions across Fashion & Textiles and Design.
  • Support learners in developing critical thinking, literacy and specialist terminology.
  • Monitor student progress and engagement, providing constructive, targeted feedback to help learners improve and refine their work.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet identified learner needs, ensuring every student can fully engage and make meaningful progress.
  • Contribute to the creation of high‑quality learning resources and online learning materials.
  • Use student feedback to reflect on and further develop your teaching practice.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching and support colleagues to ensure lessons are well planned, resourced and aligned with curriculum expectations.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date professional and subject expertise relevant to your specialism.
  • Uphold and promote the College’s Safeguarding, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, College Values and Health & Safety practices.
  • Undertake any additional reasonable duties as required by the College.
