SEND Learning Support Assistant - Colchester City
Salary: £90 - £110 per day

Randstad Education is seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to join the thriving secondary education sector in Colchester

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with additional needs, helping them build the confidence and skills they need to succeed in a city known for its high academic standards.
The Role- Holistic Support: Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to students with diverse needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
- Academic Access: Work alongside teachers to ensure students can access the curriculum through modified resources and simplified instructions.
- Positive Mentoring: Assist students in navigating the social aspects of secondary school life, promoting independence and emotional resilience.
- Data & Tracking: Help the SENCO monitor student progress against their EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.
- Experience: Ideally, you will have experience in a school setting, but we also welcome applicants from care, sports coaching, or psychology backgrounds.
- Mindset: A patient, adaptable, and highly resilient approach is essential.
- Commitment: Reliability is key-our students benefit most from consistent support throughout the school term.
- DBS: An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or a willingness to process a new one).
- Competitive Pay: £90 - £110 per day, paid weekly.
