1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Colchester Rural Area
Primary School | Long-Term Opportunity

We are looking for a calm, caring, and patient Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a welcoming rural primary school near Colchester. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional needs, confident in helping with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.

You will play a key role in helping a child feel safe, supported, and understood, using positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and consistent routines to encourage progress both academically and socially.

• Have experience working with children in a school or care setting
• Be calm, nurturing, and patient, particularly when supporting behaviour
• Build trusting relationships and provide consistent 1:1 support
• Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support individual learning plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
