Science Technician

A popular and well‑resourced secondary school in Colchester is looking to appoint a proactive and knowledgeable Science Technician for an immediate start. This is an ideal role for someone with a scientific background who enjoys hands‑on practical work and supporting teaching.

You will support the delivery of Science lessons across the full age range by:

• Preparing apparatus, chemicals and equipment for practical lessons
• Supporting teachers with demonstrations
• Managing stock control and ordering materials
• Ensuring compliance with COSHH and health & safety regulations
• Maintaining laboratories and prep rooms
• Ensuring safe disposal of chemicals
• Managing resources for Biology, Chemistry and Physics

You will work closely with experienced teachers and an established technician team who will provide support and training.

• A science background (degree, A‑levels or industry experience)
