I’m Dan, and I’ve been working closely with primary schools for the past two years, supporting them with their recruitment needs. I’m currently working with a welcoming primary school in Colchester who are looking for a Primary Teacher to join their team.

This role involves full class responsibility, including planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You will be preparing pupils for the end of Key Stage 1 assessments, supporting their academic progress, and creating a positive, structured classroom environment. Working hours are typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching within Key Stage 1

Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum

The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

Good classroom and behaviour management skills

A reliable and professional attitude

An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
