Academics are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Colchester, rated "Good" by Ofsted, which is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join their welcoming team on a maternity cover contract from April 2026.
Role DetailsLocation: SEN School in Colchester
Start Date: April 2026 - Permanent role
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, Permanent
Salary: M2-UPS3 (dependent on experience) + SEN allowance
Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of KS2 pupils with autism and complex needs
Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment that supports pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to ensure consistent and holistic provision
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience in SEN, particularly ASD and complex needs
Have experience supporting pupils with autism or learning disabilities, ideally within a KS2 or primary setting
