: £95 per day (the 1pm finish is £65 p/d).

We are working with a SEMH, SEN day school in Colchester that is seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This SEMH Teaching Assistant role involves supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs, helping them regulate emotions, engage in learning, and develop both academically and socially within a structured and nurturing setting.

Job Overview
  • This School caters for students between ages 10-16, who have social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Full-time, Monday - Friday, SEMH Teaching Assistant role (no personal care involved).
  • Provide 1:1 and small group SEN support across ages 10-16.
  • Support pupils with SEMH needs, autism, ADHD, challenging behaviour and associated barriers to learning.
  • Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and personalised learning plans.
  • Opportunity for a Long-Term position after summer term.

  • Experience working as a SEMH Teaching Assistant or Graduate.
  • Hardworking and willingness to learn kind of attitude.
  • Calm, resilient and nurturing approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
