Full Time, Permanent, Colchester Campus

About the role
  • Comprehensive teaching responsibilities: designing schemes of work, assessing, preparation, delivery, marking, individual student tutoring.
  • Designing, developing, and reviewing curriculum materials in line with programme specifications and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Delivering engaging and innovative teaching using a variety of pedagogical approaches to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Assessing student work in accordance with established criteria and providing timely, constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.
  • Monitoring and tracking student performance, implementing appropriate interventions where necessary.
  • Contributing to quality improvement processes, including course review, standardisation, moderation, and compliance activities.
  • Reflecting continuously and improving the quality of teaching and learning within your sessions. Utilising and developing resources to support student achievement.
Essential Experience
  • Significant industrial experience in a Trowel related trade.
  • Supervisory experience and/or experience in dealing directly with customers, clients or students.
  • Knowledge of equality and diversity processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding requirements within education.
  • Experience of working with young people.
Essential Qualifications
  • A good standard of general education to level 2 indicated through good GCSE results or equivalent including Maths and English GCSE grades A-C.
  • Level 3 or equivalent in a Trowel related trade.
  • Evidence of CPD.
  • Willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
