Compass Community School is a trauma‑ and attachment‑informed, therapeutic organisation that supports children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

The primary teacher will focus on the individual child, building nurturing relationships and motivating students to achieve.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Maths and/or English lessons at GCSE level.
• Managing complex and challenging behaviours with consistency and flexibility.
• Contributing to curriculum design and extra‑curricular programming.
• Partnering with parents, carers, local authority teams and therapeutic staff to secure outcomes for the child.
• Participating in professional learning and therapeutic training sessions.

• PQ or equivalent primary teaching qualification.
• Willingness to teach Maths and/or English at GCSE level.
• Experience working with children with SEND, SEMH, Autism, ADHD or similar needs is desirable.
• Strong commitment to therapeutic, trauma‑informed practice.
