About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and resilient Reintegration Worker to join a dedicated Alternative Provision in the Tiptree area from September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who require additional support to re-engage with education and successfully transition back into mainstream settings.
You will play a key role in supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies to create successful reintegration pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis to re-engage with learning
Develop and implement personalised reintegration plans
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may be disengaged from education
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams
Liaise with parents/carers and external professionals to ensure consistent support
Monitor and track progress against reintegration targets
Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
Assist with transition planning back into mainstream education or onward provisions
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
Is calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Is passionate about supporting vulnerable learners to achieve their potential
Can demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach
Has a background in education, youth work, social care, or similar (desirable)
