This Colchester school is committed to delivering high‑quality education, supporting student achievement, and providing aspiring teachers with valuable school‑based experience.
Job Overview- Full‑time role, Monday – Friday as a Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant.
- Support students in Mathematics lessons across KS3‑KS4.
- Deliver targeted one‑to‑one and small‑group interventions to raise attainment.
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons.
- Help students develop confidence, problem‑solving skills, and a positive attitude toward Mathematics.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
- Contribute to intervention programmes and enrichment opportunities.
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to engage, motivate, and support learners of varying abilities.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
