We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Colchester, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant. Job Overview
  • Career for students aged 11-16.
  • Full-time, Monday
    - Friday, Graduate Maths Teaching Assistant role.
  • Support students in Mathematics lessons across KS3-KS4.
  • Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions to raise attainment.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons.
  • Help students develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Maths department and wider school team.
  • Contribute to intervention programmes and enrichment opportunities.

What we’re looking for

  • The ability to engage, motivate, and support learners of varying abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
