An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mental Health/Adult Nurse, Midwife or AHP to join our Clinical Education Team as a Practice Education Facilitator.
We are committed to providing excellence in non-medical clinical education, support and development.
You will join our existing team of multi-professional educators to work across the organization providing support and education to both learners and educators. You will receive support and development opportunities within practice learning to support your career development.
This is a rewarding and varied role where you will have the opportunity to take part in shaping and developing our future workforce.
Band 5-6 Development post would be considered.
Main duties of the job- Has a passion for education and developing others
- Has good organisational and clinical skills, and is keen to support clinical excellence by developing best practice
- Is progressive, innovative and can help to drive change
- Is keen to undertake audit and research
- Has excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate well with all staff members
- Has a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other healthcare professionals in the organisation and partner education providers

- Educated to degree level
- Practice Assessor/Educator training
- Post Registration Qualification
- Teaching Qualification
- Project management
- Understanding of student and learner pathways
- Knowledge of NMC/HCPC education standards
- Ability to manage complex learner situations
- Ability to analyse information and make evidence-based decisions
- Undertaken management of clinical risk
- Understanding of improvement methodologies
- Proven post qualifying experience Mentoring/coaching experience
- Evidence of managing and improving the patient experience
- Experience of supporting learners in a clinical setting
- Evidence of teaching and assessing in practice
- Experience supporting supervisors, assessors or preceptors
- Previous experience at Band 6
- Experience delivering classroom or structured education
- Participation in service improvement or quality initiatives
