Braiswick Primary School are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant with SEN experience, for example working with children with a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and/or communication difficulties.

You will be highly motivated and invested in moving a child's learning forward through your support.

We are a two-form entry primary school with happy, self-motivated children, supportive parents, and a creative and dynamic staff team. We ensure that staff and parents work together to support the development of all children, both academically and socially and emotionally.

You should have a solid understanding of collaborative working with teachers, external professionals, and the school SENco, and be able to follow personalised planning and provide evidence to support EHCP applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to children with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, external professionals, and the school SENco.
  • Support the implementation of personalised learning plans.
  • Assist with evidence gathering to support EHCP applications.
Essential Qualifications and Attributes
  • Team player and able to use own initiative.
  • Patient, tolerant and understanding.
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
Safeguarding and Recruitment Checks
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required.
  • References, including one from the most recent employer, will be required.
  • The school will conduct searches for information on shortlisted candidates which is publicly available online to identify issues that call into question the applicant's suitability to work with children and to verify employment history.
