About the RoleIn this exciting role, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Electrical Installation.
- Mark learner work, design assessments and create engaging learning materials.
- Monitor learner standards in line with awarding body requirements and collaborate with the Assistant Area Head to ensure an outstanding learner experience.
- Use e-portfolios to track learner progress and maintain accurate digital records.
- Provide academic and pastoral support through Individual Learning Plans and work closely with apprentices throughout their training and assessment.
- Manage and administer allocated units, ensuring all programme requirements are fully met for a range of learner groups.
- Support the Assistant Area Head in delivering Electrical Installation standards.
- Promote Electrical Installation courses through school liaison, open evenings and marketing events.
- Engage with employers to organise high-quality work experience, industry talks, live projects and enrichment opportunities.
- Contribute to quality monitoring, action planning and continuous improvement within the team.
- Mentor colleagues where appropriate and take part in evaluation processes and reporting.

Essential Qualifications- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or equivalent), including NVQ and AM2.
- Relevant teaching qualification, or willingness to complete one within 3 years of employment (or 3 years from the first available course).
- Assessor Award (TAQA) or willingness to achieve in post.
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Level 4 Award or willingness to achieve in post.
- Substantial hands‑on experience as a practising electrician.
- Strong grounding in the electrical trade with proven, real‑world expertise.
