Role Overview

We are inviting applications for the post of Learning Support Assistant to commence 1 September 2026. The role supports classroom learning during the morning and supervises lunch time for pupils.

Responsibilities
  • Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils during the morning shift.
  • Supervise and support pupils during a one‑hour lunch break.
  • Assist with the application of positive relationships and mutual respect strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support pupils’ social, emotional and behaviour development.
  • Maintain a warm, friendly and flexible presence with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Support the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
  • Participate actively in the development of the school and its learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experience working with children and supporting their educational progress.
  • Good evidence of knowledge and abilities matching the person specification.
  • Organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
  • Desire to undertake LSA training and further professional development.
