Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and professional Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Colchester on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or an individual with relevant childcare or education experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive school environment.
You will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with their learning, development and wider wellbeing, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils both within the classroom and, where appropriate, through targeted individual or small-group activities. You will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to help pupils engage positively with their learning.
Responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils with classroom-based learning and activities
Providing individual and small-group support
Reinforcing learning and assisting with interventions
Supporting pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours
Working alongside teachers to maintain an inclusive and engaging learning environment
Supporting pupils with additional needs where required
Promoting positive behaviour and strong relationships with pupils
Contributing to the wider life of the school
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Professional, reliable and committed to working in education
Passionate about supporting children to achieve their potential
Confident building positive relationships with pupils and staff
Patient, adaptable and able to respond effectively to different learning needs
Comfortable working as part of a wider school team
Available to work full-time
Previous experience working with children, young people or within an educational setting is desirable
