- Course Leader in Media to join our team. In this role you will lead the academic and operational delivery of designated programmes across Further and Higher Education, while undertaking the core teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum development responsibilities of a Lecturer. You will provide academic leadership across your programmes, ensuring high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning that supports student engagement, achievement, retention and successful progression.

You will lead curriculum development, annual monitoring and continuous improvement, ensuring programmes remain current, industry or subject informed, and aligned with awarding organisation and institutional requirements. You will coordinate module delivery, support and mentor teaching staff, oversee assessment practices, and use student achievement and progression data to identify opportunities for enhancement. Acting as a key academic contact for students and stakeholders, you will help create a supportive, inclusive and high-performing learning environment where students can achieve their academic and professional potential.

About the role:

Responsible for the whole study programme overseeing the academic quality, delivery, enrichment, student outcomes and course administration To monitor standards of students' work against awarding organisation guidelines and to raise achievement levels. Working with area leadership teams to ensure management of quality assurance and provision. Ensuring appropriate requirements are met for external verification. Lead on modelling best practise through the development of subject curricula to include Technology Enhanced Learning and innovative delivery methods.

Comprehensive teaching responsibilities (designing schemes of work, assessing, preparation, delivery, marking, individual student tutoring). Designing, developing, and reviewing curriculum materials in line with programme specifications and quality assurance frameworks. Delivering engaging and innovative teaching using a variety of pedagogical approaches to meet diverse learner needs. Essential

Experience:

Teaching or delivering training experience.

Experience of working with young people. Proven leadership experience, including team management, decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide others.

Experience of delivering Meida related subjects reflecting recent changes in industry.

Experience of managing and motivating young learners (Secondary/16-19yr olds)

Experience of undertaking a pastoral role and effectively using individual learning planning to raise achievement Ability to teach a good range of the following subject areas:
Content Creation Film and TV Graphic Design Photography AI Other related fields Essential

Qualifications:

Education to degree level and/or above in Media, or equivalent Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4 or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent Level 5 Teaching Qualification/ completing within 3 years of employment (or 3 years of the first available course) Why join us?
