Layer de la Haye Primary school are seeking to appoint an experienced and dedicated School Business Manager to join our hardworking team.

Actual salary: £32,166 - £38,987 per annum (Band 8-9 scale point 25-33 depending on experience)

Hours of Work: 7 hours per day (8.30am - 4pm), 35 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time plus 2 weeks)

Preferred start date:
November 2026

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of business and finance in the school, ensuring its sustainability for the future.

The successful candidate will,

• Be experienced in the field of business and finance;
• Demonstrate an understanding of a school management/ finance system;
• Be self-motivated and organised;
• Have experience of payroll systems;
• Have successful experience of managing the professional development of staff members
• Be experienced in strategic planning and act as an advisor to all senior leaders, including governors
• Be committed to the safeguarding of all children
