Site Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Engineer to support ongoing highways work in Essex. This is a night shift position with responsibilities focused on highways-related works, running until September.

Key Responsibilities:

· Setting out for ducting, signage, and other associated highway works

· Managing and maintaining accurate site records and quality assurance documentation

· Liaising with subcontractors and site management to ensure smooth workflow

· Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification

· Providing technical support and troubleshooting site issues as required

Requirements:

· Proven experience in a similar Site Engineer role within the highways or civils sector

· Competency in using setting out equipment (total station, GPS, etc.)

· CSCS card (essential)

· Strong understanding of temporary works and site safety practices

· Own equipment is beneficial but not essential
