Senior Compliance Engineer

88000 per annum + depending on experience

Are you an experienced Group Senior Compliance Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity? Do you have a strong understanding of electrical safety standards, product certification and regulatory compliance?

We're recruiting on behalf of an established, technology-led electronics engineering manufacturer based in the Colchester area. Due to an ongoing programme of product compliance and certification projects, they are looking to appoint a Group Senior Compliance Engineer on a 6-month rolling contract.

As the Group Senior Compliance Engineer, you'll work closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure products continue to meet the latest UK, European and international compliance standards.

• Assessing products against EN 61010-1
• Producing compliance test plans based on assessment findings
• Compiling and maintaining Technical Construction Files (TCFs)
• Liaising with external certification bodies to obtain product approvals
• Supporting compliance assessments to EN 60601-1 where required
• Reviewing internally used machinery against EN 60204-1
• Advising engineering teams on corrective actions for non-compliances
• Producing professional technical reports and compliance documentation

To be successful as a Group Senior Compliance Engineer, you'll ideally have:

• A degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience assessing products to EN 61010-1
• Previous experience compiling Technical Construction Files
• Knowledge of CE/UKCA legislation and product compliance
• Experience working with external certification or test houses (NRTL experience would be advantageous)
• Knowledge of EN 60601-1 and/or EN 60204-1 would be beneficial
• Excellent report writing skills with a keen eye for detail
• The ability to identify compliance issues and recommend practical engineering solutions

• Salary up to £88,000
• 6-month rolling contract with the potential for extension
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
