Site Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join a major highways scheme in Colchester, working as part of a high-profile infrastructure project.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide senior engineering support across a major highways scheme.

* Oversee engineering activities and ensure works are delivered to programme and required standards.

* Work closely with site teams, subcontractors, designers and project management.

* Review drawings, specifications and technical information.

* Monitor quality, progress and compliance across the works.

* Identify and resolve technical issues effectively.

* Support the successful delivery of the project from an engineering perspective.

Requirements

* Proven experience working as a Senior Engineer on major highways/civil engineering projects.

* Strong understanding of highways construction and engineering principles.

* Experience working on large-scale infrastructure schemes.

* Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

* Relevant engineering qualifications and/or professional accreditation desirable.

* Ability to work independently and take ownership of engineering activities.

The Opportunity

 * £350–£400 per day

* Outside IR35

* 12-month contract

* Start: 24 August 2026
