Your new company A market-leading entrepreneurial group is seeking a Head of Strategic Finance Projects to deliver high-impact initiatives that combine data-driven insight and business partnering to create strategic value.

This role offers the opportunity to shape smarter decisions, improve performance, and drive sustainable growth.

Your new role Reporting to senior finance leadership, the successful candidate will take ownership of projects that enhance financial planning, reporting, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Business Planning - developing a 5-year business and financial plan to support organic and acquisitive growth.
• Performance & Cost Drivers - building models and insights to identify key drivers of profitability and efficiency.
• Advanced Financial Modelling - integrating KPIs, P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow into driver-based planning tools.
• Leveraging BI tools, data lakes, and automation to improve reporting and analytics.
• Partnering with operational teams to translate data into actionable strategies that influence decisions.
• Supporting M&A evaluations, company valuations, and funding analysis.
• Driving process improvements through advanced Excel techniques and automation.

What you'll need to succeed Applicants should be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with good technical knowledge and strong experience in FP&A and data analytics.
Essential skills include:

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise.
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and working with data lakes.
• Strong understanding of driver-based planning and forecasting.
• Ability to combine data insight with commercial acumen to influence stakeholders.
• A proactive, analytical mindset with confidence to challenge and collaborate.
