Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting
Overview
We're looking for a talented Finance Analyst to join our Group Finance team and play a key role in supporting the financial performance of our Group Functions. As an integral member of the team, you'll contribute to the analysis, control, and reporting of financial information across a range of departments, helping to ensure accuracy, insight, and strong financial governance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and detail‑oriented finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively, providing meaningful analysis, and supporting informed decision‑making at a central, strategic level within the organisation.
This is a fixed‑term opportunity for 12 months.
Key responsibilities- Supporting budget and forecast preparation including budget KPI packs
- Monthly management accounts – preparation of profit and loss and balance sheet where relevant, including the preparation and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
- Support the Finance Manager with continuous improvement of all reporting, analysis and commentary
- Undertake additional tasks as required and streamline processes where appropriate
- Analyse costs against budget/forecast
- Conveying financial information to senior stakeholders and other non‑finance people
- Adhoc financial analysis and/or financial project work
- Work with the Central Finance team to ensure costs and benefits are allocated fairly to the business and at the same time promote accountability
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at a variety of levels throughout the Group
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to consistently meet strict deadlines and to produce high‑quality information
- Ability to analyse problems, develop opportunities and implement solutions
- Able to manage multiple deadlines, projects and workloads
- Advanced Excel user (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, INDEX/MATCH, pivot tables, etc.)
- Knowledge of other MS Office products including PowerPoint desirable
- Previous experience of Anaplan, SAP and Power
BI would be an advantage - Proactive, motivated, good communicator
- Structured and disciplined in the approach to planning and organising workload

Salary£26,000 – £33,000, dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
Hybrid workingWhile our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. For this role we expect that you will work from our office in Frating, Essex two days per week. There would also be occasional travel to our office in London.
