40 hours per week

At Caring Homes, our mission is simple: to make each home the best possible place to live and work for our residents and our teams. We strive to create an environment that feels like home, whether we live there or work there, through our behaviour and the environment we create – and this includes our support team. We’re a family.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Administrator to join our Finance team.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate billing, effective income collection, and professional management of debtor accounts across our care homes. You'll work closely with operational, admissions, payroll, treasury, and finance teams to ensure residents, families, and commissioning bodies receive an excellent service while maintaining strong financial controls.

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment.
  • Free DBS & Blue Light Card
  • Free parking
  • Employee assistance program for personal and professional support.
Responsibilities
  • Managing billing for private residents, Local Authorities, NHS/ICBs, and other funding bodies
  • Ensuring invoices are accurate and reflect current care packages and funding arrangements
  • Monitoring outstanding debt and proactively managing collections
  • Liaising with families, commissioners, solicitors, and deputies regarding payments and account queries
  • Performing reconciliations across billing systems, bank receipts, and finance ledgers
  • Supporting bank reconciliations, payment processing, payroll administration, and wider finance activities
  • Maintaining accurate funding, contract, and billing records
  • Producing reports and investigating discrepancies
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls, audit requirements, and GDPR
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in credit control, billing, accounts receivable, or a similar finance role
  • Strong reconciliation and financial administration skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Confident communicator with a professional and empathetic approach
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing sensitive information
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

If you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a family that values empathy, dedication, and professionalism, we would love to hear from you.
