This is a full-time, on-site Analyst role based in Colchester at the Innovation Centre. The Analyst will support financial planning and investment management activities by gathering and analysing client data, preparing reports, and building financial models. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching markets and investment products, assisting in portfolio analysis, and preparing materials for client meetings and reviews. The Analyst will collaborate closely with planners and wealth managers to translate analysis into clear insights, maintain accurate documentation, and support compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
The role involves regular interaction with team members and may include occasional direct communication with clients to clarify data and support high-quality service delivery.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Candidates should possess solid research and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate market information, investment products, and economic trends.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare structured reports, presentations, and client-ready documentation.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured, regulated environment.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field is beneficial; progress toward professional qualifications (e.g., CISI, CFA, or similar) is an advantage.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial software, and comfort working with numerical data and CRM or portfolio management systems, is beneficial.
- A commitment to ethical conduct, client confidentiality, and regulatory compliance, along with an interest in long-term career development in financial planning and wealth management, is beneficial.
