The Role
As a Recovery through Nature Lead, you will support people to reach their goals and change their lives for the better. The role is part-time 30 hours per week covering North and Mid Essex. You will be part of a passionate and skilled team, contributing to the provision of tailored interventions and recovery approaches.
The ServiceThe Futures Together service comprises of two services, the criminal justice service, and the social inclusion service. Collectively we provide holistic, person-centred support to individuals across the county of Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock).
The Social Inclusion service provides social inclusion, wellbeing activities, and Recovery through Nature conservation groups.
Our groups and activities, are non-judgemental, facilitated by experienced staff, external providers, and fully trained peer mentors and volunteers.
The service is for adults aged 18 or over, who reside in Essex (excluding Southend and Thurrock)
About YouTo join us as Recovery through Nature Lead, you will need:
- To lead on and ensure the effective delivery of physical activity through conservation initiatives.
- Increase awareness of conservation, the health and well-being benefits of physical activity to stakeholders.
- Be pro-active in seeking new conservation opportunities within community settings, and take the lead on implementing those opportunities
- Relevant experience of workingin health and social care, ideally within the field of problematic substance use, mental health oranother comparable field
- Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of theclient and service
- Evidence of managing a busy caseload or tasks and excellent organisational skills
- To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Wordand be familiar with database management systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written andverbal
- Understand complex issues presented by people in the community.
- Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
- Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support.
- Starting salary of £19,709 with the opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal.

Interview ProcessWe want you to feel comfortable to be your best during the interview process, so that you can get to know Phoenix and we can get to know you. If shortlisted, you will be contacted for a short face to face interview which will be approximately an hour. There will be peer mentors/volunteers attending as part of the interview process. All details will be provided in advance, so that you can feel adequately prepared and we can support you with reasonable adjustments as required.
