Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive, multi professional team that recognises and upholds ESNEFT's drive to develop an outstanding advanced clinical practice workforce.
We are looking for a qualified, experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Paediatric ACP to complement our established team within the Children's Emergency Department.
The PACP role will be at the forefront of service provision and integral in supporting the Multidisciplinary Team in the provision and delivery of prompt, safe and timely intervention.
The PACP will work over a 24hr period, 7 days a week, usually 11.5 hr shifts.
Main duties of the jobYou will provide professional leadership, clinical expertise and manage same day presentations of patients to ESNEFT Children's Emergency Department in Colchester.
You will act as a role model, delivering advanced practice and promoting clinical effectiveness in care. The PACP will be required to work autonomously in delivering independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision making and planning of care and treatment, prescribing, health promotion and safe discharge or admission of patients.
You will work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team and will contribute to service development. You will also provide appropriate nurse leadership as required ensuring the maintenance of clinical excellence and support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

Person Specification Experience Essential- Proven post reg experience in relevant clinical setting
- Detailed knowledge of current best practice in relevant clinical area
- Documented evidence of continuing professional development
- Substantial post registration experience
- Clinical expertise relevant to the area of emergency medicine
- Portfolio of evidence showing achievements in practice/speciality
- First level registered nurse/allied Health Professional currently working in a senior clinical role
- MSc Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
- APLS provider
- NMC approved mentor preparation course or equivalent
- Evidence of research/audit
- Level 1 Ultrasound Course
- Knowledge of the current professional NHS issues contributing to service development
