HIV Support and Wellbeing Specialist

In this role you will deliver person-centred advocacy, wellbeing and community support for people living with HIV across Essex. You will work with the HIV Support Project Lead to assess needs, manage a caseload and assist those with complex health and social challenges. You will help reduce health inequalities through outreach, group work and co-production with communities disproportionately affected by HIV.

This position offers opportunities to shape responsive services and collaborate with diverse teams across Essex.

• conduct holistic assessments and manage a caseload provide advocacy and wellbeing support for individuals with complex needs engage in targeted outreach and collaboration with the Sexual Health Service Outreach and Education Team facilitate groups, raise awareness and co-produce services empower people living with HIV to improve wellbeing and independence help shape inclusive services across Essex
• Degree or aaaaaa with qualification/experience in health, social care, public health or a related field experience of advocacy and wellbeing support experience or understanding of supporting people with complex needs and health inequalities in marginalised communities ability to build trust and work in a non-judgemental manner ability to manage competing priorities and work independently own car, clean driving license and ability to travel across Essex Key requirements
