Saturday activities twice monthly. You will have the opportunity tosupportpeople out in the local community in activities around swimming, trampolining, cycling etc
As a Activities Support Worker at Penny Meadow Life Skills You will be expected tosupportin the following areas:
This exciting role involvessupportingpeople throughout the day to take part in activities and sessions both within the day centre and out in the local community . Driving is a part of this role, we provide transport using a 9-seater mini bus . Morning and afternoon transport is provided, as well as transport to our community-based activities. With training, you will beconfidentin delivering high ‑ quality workshops across a wide range of areas, including life skills, cooking, health and fitness, creativity, music, gardening, sensory activities and community access .
You’llprepare and organise engaging resources that encourage learning,independenceandactiveparticipation, while using IT skills to create worksheets, presentations, book events and build visual evidence for portfolios .
The role also includessupportingASDAN accredited courses, helping individuals work towards qualifications andmaintainingaccurate
Achievement Journals to evidence progress,goalsand milestones . You’llbe fully involved in all activities, acting as a positive role model, andsupportingswimming sessions, personal care, cleaning duties, and special events such as shows, awards evenings and family days, including some evenings and weekends .
