We are seeking a IT Technician
to join our team. In this role you will

Job title:

IT Technician Colchester Campus. 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Interview Date: Thursday 27th August

About the role:

  • Work closely with the curriculum team and prepare specialist labs within FE Digital Technology (Digi Tech) ready for teaching delivery. Provide onsite technical support and ensure minimal disruption to users and services.
  • To effectively and professionally liaise with teaching staff to ensure students' needs are met within practical delivery sessions.
  • To deliver technical skills demonstrations and provide technical instruction for student groups.
  • Log, prioritise, and manage incidents and service requests accurately within the college system. Ensure issues are resolved or escalated appropriately.
  • Create, modify, and disable user accounts and permissions in line with security policies as agreed with ILT.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot technologies and devices. Support operating systems in the specialist labs within FE Digi Tech and approved applications.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation and knowledge base articles. Promote self-service and consistent issue resolution.
Essential

Experience:
  • Experience of Microsoft environments including M365
  • Experience of managing hardware and associated software solution
Essential

Qualifications:
  • Level 2 in English Language and maths (or equivalent)
  • Level 3 qualification in an IT/Computing subject
