An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Executive to join a leading and well-established insurance brokerage based in Colchester. This is a full-time, permanent role within a supportive and professional team environment, offering hybrid working and genuine scope for career development.

About the Role
As a Claims Executive, you’ll play a key role in delivering an efficient, high-quality claims service to a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, with a particular focus on Marine and Goods in Transit claims.

Key Responsibilities

Manage claims of varying complexity from start to finish, including large or contentious cases
Provide specialist advice and assistance on marine and transit losses
Liaise with insurers, brokers, clients, and third parties to ensure swift, fair settlements
Analyse claims data, identify trends, and support continuous improvement in processes
Support and mentor junior members of the claims team
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with company and regulatory standards
Visit clients where necessary to assess losses and strengthen relationships
About You

Experience with in a brokerage or insurance environment, handling corporate/commercial claims
A strong understanding of Marine or Goods in Transit claims
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
A customer-focused and collaborative approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
