An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Executive to join a leading and well-established insurance brokerage based in Colchester. This is a full-time, permanent role within a supportive and professional team environment, offering hybrid working and genuine scope for career development.

As a Claims Executive, you'll play a key role in delivering an efficient, high-quality claims service to a portfolio of corporate and commercial clients, with a particular focus on Marine and Goods in Transit claims.

• Manage claims of varying complexity from start to finish, including large or contentious cases
• Provide specialist advice and assistance on marine and transit losses
• Liaise with insurers, brokers, clients, and third parties to ensure swift, fair settlements
• Analyse claims data, identify trends, and support continuous improvement in processes
• Support and mentor junior members of the claims team
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting in line with company and regulatory standards
• Visit clients where necessary to assess losses and strengthen relationships

• Experience with in a brokerage or insurance environment, handling corporate/commercial claims
• A strong understanding of Marine or Goods in Transit claims
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
• A customer-focused and collaborative approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)

• Competitive salary up to £40,000
• Hybrid working - typically 2 to 3 days in the Colchester office
• Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm schedule
