Job Title: Senior Commercial Broker

Location: Colchester

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)

Role Summary:

A senior opportunity within a specialist commercial division, supporting a portfolio that includes property-led risks. The team operates within a niche sector environment, and the business is looking to appoint an experienced commercial property professional who can bring technical strength, autonomy and confident market engagement.

The role offers scope to take on limited supervisory responsibilities for those operating at a more senior level, reflected in the upper end of the salary band - though this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of commercial property and associated specialist risks

• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments and re-broking activity independently

• Negotiate terms with insurers and maintain strong trading relationships

• Ensure compliance with FCA and internal regulatory standards

• Provide technical support within the team where appropriate

Requirements:

• Strong commercial property handling experience (5+ years preferred)

• Proven ability to manage complex renewals and MTAs autonomously

• Confident negotiating with insurers and advising clients directly

• Solid understanding of FCA requirements and compliance processes

• Previous mentoring or workflow oversight experience advantageous but not essential
