About the role:
As the successful Parts Supervisor , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the parts department and workshop. You will be reporting to the Parts Manager as well as managing stock levels, coordinate parts purchases, and liaise with various departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Ensure optimal stock levels within the parts department and Engineers' vans and procure parts and equipment to support all company operations. Handle incoming parts enquiries via phone, email, and trade counter. Work closely with the service department to provide efficient parts support to Engineers. Organise the delivery of parts to Engineers and customers as needed. Oversee the management of workshop tooling and equipment, including certification, compliance and ensuring all parts-related paperwork is processed efficiently.
Manage company waste streams, including lubricants, philtres, and recyclables and ensure compliance within the parts department and workshop.
About you:
As a Parts Supervisor, you will be a team player who values collaboration and thrives in a fast-paced environment. If you have experience within the Automotive parts/service industry, excellent customer service skills, and a knack for IT systems, we want to hear from you! You should be capable of managing a busy, multi-franchise parts department, possess an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills, and be comfortable with IT operating systems.
You should be adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a team, and ideally, have experience within the Automotive parts/service industry. A full UK driving licence is required , and a forklift truck licence is an advantage.
