We're currently recruiting for a Production Line Operative to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Colchester. This company specialises in producing high-quality food products and offers long-term opportunities, stability, and genuine potential for career progression.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone looking for consistent, ongoing work within a fast-paced production environment. Previous factory or production experience is beneficial but not essential - reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude are key.

Please note: Due to the rural location and limited public transport links, own transport is essential.

Key Responsibilities of Production Line Operative:

• Working across different stages of the production line including loading, monitoring, and packing
• Carrying out visual inspections and grading of raw materials
• Maintaining high levels of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
• Following all food safety and production procedures
• Packing and palletising finished products ready for dispatch
• Supporting colleagues and assisting with general production duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production, or an FMCG environment is advantageous
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with shifts
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
• Own transport and ability to commute to the Colchester outskirts location
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required

Shift Pattern & Pay:

• 4 on / 4 off day shifts (7:00am - 6:00pm - slightly reduced hours at weekends)
• 13.45 per hour
• Overtime available at enhanced rates
• Free on-site parking
• Opportunity for permanent employment following the temporary period
