Temp to Perm Opportunity Food Production 12.85 + 1.50ph shift allowance Day Shift Own transport required

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business in Earls Colne. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term stability for reliable candidates who perform well.

This role is ideal for someone with production or machine operating experience who is confident working in a fast-paced, quality-driven manufacturing environment.

You will support line set-up, monitor performance, and help minimise downtime by identifying and reporting issues quickly.

Key Duties of the Machine Operator

• Operate packing and production machinery in line with work instructions
• Assist with basic machine set-ups and adjustments where required
• Ensure correct packaging materials and coding information are used
• Monitor line performance and highlight issues promptly
• Support with minor fault finding and escalate breakdowns as needed
• Check materials before and during use to ensure quality standards are met
• Ensure finished goods meet required standards before dispatch
• Accurately complete production and quality paperwork
• Work across different areas of the packing line when required
• Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards

Quality, Safety & Compliance

You will be working in a regulated food production environment and must:

• Follow HACCP, GMP and food safety procedures at all times
• Comply with all company Health & Safety policies
• Report accidents, incidents and near misses immediately
• Adhere to quality and legal production requirements
• Take part in training and support safe working practices

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operative, or Line Operator
• FMCG / Manufacturing and production experience is advantageous
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Mechanical awareness and confidence working with machinery
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment
• Flexible approach to shifts and working hours

Pay and Hours

• 12.85ph - 1.50ph shift allowance
• Normal hours - 7am - 3.30pm but flexibility require during peak times
