Maintenance Engineer

£30,000 – £38,000 per year

Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, family-run business within the fresh produce sector. You will play a vital role in ensuring machinery, equipment, and site facilities are maintained to a safe, reliable, and compliant standard, supporting smooth day‑to‑day operations.

• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and site facilities
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions
• Undertake general building maintenance (plumbing and electrical experience desirable)
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and technical standards
  
  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report issues clearly
• Work closely with operational teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
• Support site projects, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills
• Previous experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance
• Good understanding of health & safety requirements and safe working practices
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards

(experience within food production, packhouse, or similar environments is advantageous)

This role operates within a 7-day, seasonal environment
