Location: Colchester (accessible via public transport / free parking on site)

Salary: £13.80 £ 14.82 per hour + Overtime up to £19.19 per hour!

Shifts: Rotating weekly shift pattern (6am 2pm and 2pm 10pm). Flexibility is required.



Please note:

Initial training is completed on a day shift (7am 3:30pm) before moving onto the rotation.

All Square Recruitment is recruiting Assembly Operatives with a focus on sheet metal work. This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent position.

As an Assembly Operative, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, with a strong emphasis on sheet metal fabrication diagrams.

  • Working to precise specifications to ensure high-quality output.

  • Fabricating and assembling sheet metal components using a variety of hand and power tools.

  • Collaborating effectively with team members to optimise production processes.

  • Manual handling, which may involve some heavy lifting.

  • Adhering strictly to all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

  • Participating in full training and induction programs.

What We re Looking For

We are seeking motivated individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in an assembly/production role.

  • Confidence and proficiency in using tools and machinery (e.g., brakes, shears, drills, grinders).

  • The ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and instructions.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Punctuality, reliability, and a strong motivation to learn and develop new skills.
