The role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Solutions Manager to join our team in Colchester. This pivotal position plays a key role in driving the success of our projects by overseeing solution development, managing cross‑functional teams, and ensuring customer requirements are met with excellence and innovation.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical solutions aligned with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and IT teams to design and implement effective solutions that meet performance, cost, and schedule targets.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships including customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify risks and issues early, implementing mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project timelines and quality.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating best practices to enhance solution capabilities.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation to senior management and clients.
  • Support business development activities by contributing technical expertise to bids and proposals.
Qualifications and experience
  • Proven experience in a solutions management or similar role within the engineering or IT sectors.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand complex systems and translate requirements into practical solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Professional certifications in project management or relevant technical fields would be advantageous.
