We are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join a well‑established engineering company based in Birch, near Colchester. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity offering long‑term stability, varied fabrication work, and the chance to manufacture bespoke steel products.

This role would suit a skilled Welder Fabricator with a strong MIG welding background.

Working within a busy fabrication workshop, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke structural steelwork, architectural metalwork, and general engineering fabrications. As a Welder Fabricator, you will work from technical engineering drawings, fabricating components from raw materials before carrying out high‑quality MIG welding to complete each project.

• MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard
• Fabricating bespoke steelwork from technical engineering drawings
• Measuring, marking out, cutting and preparing materials
• Using fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools
• Drilling, grinding and finishing fabricated components
• Inspecting completed fabrications to ensure quality standards are met

• Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator (essential)
• Strong MIG welding and fabrication experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Confident fabricating from raw materials
• Experience using fabrication machinery, hand tools and power tools

• Experience fabricating structural or architectural steelwork
• Experience working on bespoke engineering projects
• Overhead crane or forklift experience
• Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications

• £17.00 - £18.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Full time, permanent position
• Day shifts
  - Monday to Friday
