About the NPD TechnologistAs the NPD Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the end-to-end development and launch of new products and product improvements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with customer, commercial, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Key tasks- Coordinate new product development projects from concept to launch, ensuring timelines and milestones are achieved.
- Oversee packaging development, including specifications, supplier coordination, trials, artwork approval, and implementation.
- Maintain product, packaging, and project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
- Coordinate factory trials, product testing, and commercialization activities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners to support product and packaging development.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Packaging Technology, Sustainability, Product Development, or a related field.
- Experience in NPD, packaging development, or project coordination within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of product development processes, packaging materials, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and time management.
The NPD Technologist job is based in Colchester and is paying £35,000 to £40,000 according to your experience.
The package includes 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a statutory company pension contribution.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
