We are on the hunt for an incredibly passionate and driven individual who thrives on developing customers, providing incredible service, and has a hunger to succeed in a forward-thinking environment. An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious National Account Manager/Director to join the team managing our established business based in Essex.
You will be joining a dynamic team responsible for the account management of a flexible mix of Top 6 Grocery multiples.
Responsibilities- Managing your own diary and spending as much time as possible face-to-face with customers
- Building rapport with buyers and growing a strong network of contacts to maximise revenue and repeat business
- Strong account management, identifying opportunities for category growth and new product sales
- Developing and maintaining relationships with the top UK Grocery/Convenience accounts
- P&L management at national account level
- Working closely with our Supply Base, building relationships and looking for opportunities to grow the portfolio and Business
- Switched-on, intelligent individuals who can demonstrate success in managing Grocery or Convenience partners to date
- Strong sales experience within an FMCG environment will be beneficial
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to generate long-term business partnerships in an ever-changing product landscape
- Adaptable, likeable, and career-driven
- Fast learner who is able to pick up new ideas and concepts quickly
Due to sustained growth, we are looking to recruit an accomplished National Account Manager /Director with a proven track record.
The successful candidate will have experience in managing retail customers at National Account Manager level within an FMCG environment, will be a team player, keen to demonstrate self-motivation, a professional attitude, good face-to-face and telephone communication skills, have a high work ethic, a will to achieve, and a 'business management' approach with demonstrable ability to generate and deliver challenging account plans to develop and grow the category.
Using your excellent relationship-building skills, you will be expected to foster strong relationships both internally and with your external customers across the Retail Food sector, with a focus on an already established Infant snacking business.
Qualifications- Previous National Account Management experience
- A background in understanding Private label and capable of building a Brand
- Very strong commercial skills
- An Analytical approach
- Ability to handle high-level negotiations
- A consultative manner with a high level of business acumen
- Hunger and passion for success with aspirations of progression
