Based in Essex or Suffolk, Colchester, Sudbury, Braintree, Ipswich or surrounding areas (mobile)

Work location:

South (Home Counties predominantly)

Duration:
Permanent

The pay range is inclusive of average overtime. Overtime is applied after the first 8 hours per/day, and daily rates are door-to-door. £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, experience dependant. The company operates and performance bonus scheme payable into the employee's pension.

Average week (Monday - Friday): 40-hour standard plus 20 hours of overtime

This position is for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to work within our service and maintenance team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The successful applicant will be experienced in all forms of planned and reactive maintenance on all heating and hot water boilers and package burners, testing and purging of gas installation pipework and works on associated systems i.e. pumps, valves, fans etc.

Upon completion of a succesfull probation period, the applicant shall join a weekend on-call rota of one-in-seven

Mandatory qualifications and requirements:

* Minimum of 10 years of experience within the gas industry

* Full clean UK driving licence

* Enhanced DBS or Enhanced Level 1 application ready

* Holding a minimum of the following Gas qualifications:
Commercial i.e. COCN1 (or suitable chaneover), CIGA1, CORT1, CPA1, DAH1, ICPN1, HTR1 and TCP1

* Holding a minimum of the following plumbing qualifications:
City and Guilds level 3, Water regulations (WRAS) and Unvented Water Regulations (G3)

* Microsoft essential suite i.e. Word, Excel etc

* Must be willing to travel when required

* Must be willing to stay away when required (with notice)

Preferred qualifications and requirements:

* Any Industrial Gas, Oil or plumbing experience or qualifications.

* Any gas booster or compressor servicing, installation or maintenance experience.

* Any renewable energy experience or qualifications i.e. Solar, ASHP etc.

* BOAS category 2 CertIBO or category 5.

* UKATA asbestos qualifications.

* PASMA scaffold tower qualifications.

* IPAF mobile elevated working platform qualifications.

* CEA member and or affiliate.

* IGEM member and or affiliate.

* CPHE member and or affiliate.

* Engineering council registration i.e. Eng Tech, CEng, IEng etc.
