Reintegration Worker

Not Your Average Education Job

Some young people have stopped attending school.

Not because they don't care.

Not because they don't want to learn.

But because anxiety, trauma, health needs, or life experiences have created barriers that feel impossible to overcome.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Reintegration Worker who can build trust, create opportunities, and help young people reconnect with education one step at a time.

This is not a desk-based role. One day you might be meeting a young person at home, the next supporting them in a community setting, and later helping them successfully return to school.

What You'll Do

Support KS3 and KS4 pupils experiencing EBSA, SEMH, or medical needs

Build positive relationships with young people and their families

Deliver personalised mentoring and reintegration support

Work closely with schools, SENCOs, social care, and external agencies

Use trauma-informed and restorative approaches

Champion every young person's voice, progress, and potential

Maintain strong safeguarding practices at all times

You'll Thrive If You

Believe relationships change lives

Stay calm under pressure

Can engage hard-to-reach families with empathy and confidence

Understand SEMH, trauma-informed practice, and safeguarding

Celebrate small wins because you know they lead to big outcomes

Have resilience, patience, and a good sense of humour

Essential Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Experience working with families and external agencies
  • Understanding of SEMH and trauma-informed practice
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance
We'd Love It If You Have
  • Experience in Alternative Provision, SEND, or SEMH settings
  • Youth Work, Social Care, Counselling, or similar qualifications
  • Therapeutic Thinking or trauma-informed training
  • Experience leading multi-agency meetings
Why Join Us?

Success in this role isn't measured by spreadsheets.

It's the young person who attends school for the first time in months.

The family who finally feels heard.

The student who starts believing in themselves again.

If you're passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and reach their potential, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help change a young person's story.
