We are currently looking for a Driver / Operator to join our specialist rail team, supporting vital Network Rail infrastructure across the South and East of England.

If you enjoy hands‑on work, thrive in a safety‑critical environment and want to be part of a high‑performing team working on high‑profile rail contracts, this could be the role for you. This role requires flexible shifts including nights, weekends & bank holidays.

• Operating and maintaining specialist on‑track plant on behalf of our rail customers
• Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs to equipment
• Working safely within railway health and safety requirements
• Supporting delivery on high‑profile rail contracts as part of a dedicated team
• Adapting to changing plans and working flexibly across nights, weekends and bank holidays
• Representing Balfour Beatty professionally when working with customers and stakeholders

• Experience operating on‑track plant or the ability and willingness to learn
• A good awareness of railway health and safety requirements
• A flexible approach to work and shift patterns
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
• Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written
• A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

• Experience of railway operations and train operations
