HGV 2 Driver

Market 36 Recruitment are delighted to be supporting the local Council in recruiting an HGV 2 Driver based in Colchester. This role involves driving refuse collection vehicles and supporting waste collection services across the local area.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 15:00
Friday 07:00 - 14:30

• Driving HGV 2 bin lorries (refuse collection vehicles) in line with scheduled routes
• Ensuring safe and responsible operation of the vehicle at all times
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
• Working alongside loaders to complete waste collection routes efficiently
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and health & safety regulations
• Providing a professional and courteous service to members of the public
• Assisting with loading duties where required

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category
  
  C) Licence
• Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience driving large vehicles, ideally refuse collection vehicles
• Good knowledge of road safety and driving regulations
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
• Good communication skills
