Class 1 Driver​/Yard Operative

Class 1 Driver / Yard Operative – Food Manufacturing, Colchester, £15.77 per hour

Pin Point Recruitment is currently seeking a Class 1 (C+E) Driver / Yard Operative to join a well-established food manufacturing business. This is a varied role offering a balance between driving and on-site yard duties, ideal for candidates who do not want to be on the road full-time.

• Driving Class 1 vehicles for deliveries and collections
• Supporting operations within the yard when not driving
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• General yard duties as required
• Operating a forklift truck (full in‑house training will be provided)

• Variable hours contract with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Drivers are currently working around 48‑54 hours per week, depending on workload
• Hours and days will fit in with the needs of the business
• Weekend work will be required
• Day work only – no overnight stays
• When out driving, you can expect to be off‑site for 8‑10 hours

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Flexible and reliable approach to work
• Willingness to undertake both driving and yard‑based duties
• Positive attitude and team player

• Full in‑house forklift (FLT) training
