Pay: £16.42 per hour

Hours:

7:00am - 6:00pm | 4 on / 4 off shift pattern

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional to join a growing business, with the possibility of a permanent position and further development.

Please note:

Applicants must have their own transport due to the location of the site.

• Operate a counterbalance forklift as part of the warehouse team.
• Receive deliveries of packaging materials and complete intake checks.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and ensure stock is recorded accurately.
• Manage and organise packaging stores and storage areas.
• Maintain stock levels of packaging materials including boxes, labels, films, pallets and other consumables.
• Carry out regular stock checks including daily, weekly and monthly counts.
• Ensure packaging is clearly labelled, identifiable and stored correctly.
• Maintain effective stock rotation procedures.
• Supply packaging materials to production areas when required.
• Support goods in, dispatch and general warehouse operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow all company health, safety, quality and operational procedures.

• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Previous experience within a warehouse, goods-in or packaging environment.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative.
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment is advantageous.
